adidas is doing it’s own version of remastering its Originals footwear from the past. The brand has been around so long that a remastering of a Made in Germany shoe requires some serious detailing and materials. The premium construction of this Samba Mig underscores how adidas is attempting to get every step right in their challenging of Nike as the brand for all generations.
Description: Faithful to the original form of the football-inspired silhouette, the Samba has been reproduced in its purest form, featuring a premium vintage white nubuck construction with black serrated 3-stripes marks and the essential suede T-toe panel. The shoe’s trademark long tongue is back in molded premium leather, finished with large trefoil branding, placed atop a translucent gum rubber tooling. True to the original Samba in its purest form, and Made in Germany with no expense spared, it’s a true celebration of one of adidas Originals’ most enduring football silhouettes.
There aren’t many of these shoes floating around yet since the shoe drops on May 5th, 2017. Here is link for a couple in black. Will the Samba inspire more connection to the brand? Probably not, but it’s good to see the three stripes not resting on NMD and Superstar.
