The Converse SoHo store is an excellent spot to catch interesting displays. A quick retail dive offered a peak at their latest offerings. One impressive in-store drop was the ¡Mi Gente! collection, released on September 15th in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The brand has been running the ¡Mi Gente! campaign since 2020, refreshing it regularly.

A quick look:

Found near the entrance of the single floor retail space was a small, attention-grabbing visual merchandising effort that communicates the campaign message and shines a light on the products. The display centers on CONS team rider Erik Herrera and his LA-based family, who are also featured in an Instagram post by the brand. While modest in size, the display had strong visual stopping power as you enter the store.

This drop includes two graphic tees, a Chuck Taylor All-Star and a One Star Pro. The theme of the collection revolves around celebrating family and heritage, drawing inspiration from various cultural symbols prevalent in Latino traditions. Butterfly and coffee ground graphics, as well as botanical prints, establish the visual aesthetic of the collection. According to the brand’s website, the collection was “dreamt up and designed by our Latino teammates at Converse.”

The in-store display has a tabletop sign with further information about the ¡Mi Gente! campaign, along with a QR code for deeper exploration.
