Las Vegas 91
Connecticut 83

Lefties got loose on Sunday and left the Sun blistered as Kelsey Plum dropped 22 leading 5 Aces players who hit double figures in scoring. A’ja and Chelsea Gray were part of a crew that notched 20 points or better in holding off the feisty, fast, but not quite furious Sun squad that got within one with 5 minutes left. The Sun had opportunities delivered by Alyssa Thomas who dominated on the boards with 14 rebounds, but the 19 from DeWanna Bonner wasn’t enough in the battle of the top seeds in the league. Eye-opening stat? The Sun definitely had chances. They outrebounded the Aces 41 to 30.

Lynx 57
Mystics 70

In a theme for the day, the Lynx outrebounded the Mystics 45 to 38 with Fowles and Shepard pulling down a big 12 boards, but a frigid 4 for 20 with the 3 ball left the Lynx sitting on 10 wins and saw an equally cold shooting Mystics squad ride a double up by The Don who had 21 and 20 and shot 50% overall from the floor as Natasha Cloud had 8 assists, that should have been double digits, but the squad wasn’ much better than the Lynx shooting 37.7% from the floor. The one bright spot? Shatori Walker-Kimbrough was almost perfect off the bench getting 11 pts on 80% shooting in 18 minutes.

Dream 85
Mercury 75

C Parker, not that CP, but Cheyenne made the Mercury do a double take to see if the Sky squad was in the building as Cheyenne double dipped with 21 pts and 12 rebounds. The Dream were still without 14 ppg rookie Rhyne, but no run was avoided as Tiffany Hayes and Erica Wheeler dropped a supporting 16 and 14 respectively. Tom Brady, aka, Diana Taurasi led the Mercury with 23, but the middle of the pack Phoenix squad would look much different if 42 was at home.

Storm 81
Fever 65

Rocking the Puma Stewie 1, Breanna used her Nitro fueled kicks to deliver a game high 25 points leading all scorers on Sunday to finish the season sweep of the Indiana Fever, who seemed to have a compress on their foreheads covering their eyes since they shot a sickly 16.4% from three. Their one bright spot was NaLyssa Smith who almost had a double-double with 15 and 9, but in the end, it was just too much of the new signature sneaker wearing Stewart who had help in the form of Tina Charles and Jewell Loyd both with 15. Eye-opening stat? Sue Bird was scoreless but had 6 dimes.
