Connecticut Sun 89
Indiana Fever 81

A fairly quiet night in the W with only 1 game, but with the heat from the Sun and Fever, trying to reach a boil, the game was out of reach by the fourth. Although the final was 89-81, which looks competitive, the Fever fell short in a comeback attempt in the fourth. Jonquel Jones doubled dipped to a 20 pt./14 rebound night to lead the Sun in a season sweep of the Fever. Nalyssa Smith attempted to slow Jones by serving up two scoops for the Fever, 12 pts and 13 rebs, and ex Buckeye Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 20 pts. It wasn’t enough to offset the trio of Briona Jones who came off the bench and made 71.4% of her shots for 17 and an additional 19 pts from DeWanna Bonner. The Fever have dropped 7 straight and definitely need to hit the training room to break the temperature.
