Ewing Athletics redesigns their website and drops a DPG Death Row sneaker. The DTC brand did a smart redesign of their site that features crystal clear imagery and moves beyond the simple white background to provide storytelling through product photography. The result is a cleaner, simpler site. The Dogg Pound Gangstas (Dazz and Kurupt) dropped Dogg Food 25 years ago and Ewing is celebrating the album. Ewing is slowly becoming the brand of Hip-Hop with its releases of shoes dedicated to Big Pun, Big L and Cormega. It’s a smart lane, but the shoes really need more streamlined tooling. I’d like to see a designers challenge out of the brand and an alignment with a Made in the US company for a limited drop of a more modern take on the classic Ewing silhouettes.
