I was just told that I need to be more vocal and present on social media. I explained that, by experience, social media and third party sites contribute to the degradation of your own platforms. I’ve chosen to reduce the amount of time I spend on social which means that AHN doesn’t reach as many people as it should. However in two years the network went from around 100 visits a month to over 400,000 combined. The majority of visits are from search and the direct traffic has increased which has sustained. Ultimately the traffic will continue to grow, but it’s much slower because I’m not on social.

AAAAANNNNDDD because I’m not on social I had never seen the artwork of Reina Koyano. I search for information still. I visit websites because as a small biz person I realize that if I don’t go to actual websites and not just social media pages I’m not really supporting a business. Specifically a small business.

I had missed out on Reina’s work. You will find posts on this site about M Brian Bowens, or Bua, but I’d never seen Reina. I didn’t learn about her until I did my daily check of air.jordan.com where they posted a discussion with her centered on why and what she does. Since they took the time to dig deeper I won’t go into detail. I will post a picture here and then tell you to get over there and read more and then go to Reina’s website:
