When I first saw the 247 I wrote a post titled:
Collect This: New Balance 247
My reason was no one was writing about New Balance outside of discussing their conflict with people who are mad at Trump, but New Balance has been doing a number of really cool projects that haven’t been discussed at all. Use this link to read about all of the things the brand is doing to really change directions and compete in this new shoe environment.
I even wrote articles about how New Balance had to position itself in a better way. I even said they needed to hire Olivia Pope. It seems like they did, because for some reason Kevin Plank took all of the heat off of NB lately.
I wrote that Collect This, because although I didn’t think that the NB 247 would become a shoe that people could flip, I did think that it was worth flipping.
The Tokyo Rat is another instant classic in the 247 line. Check out the pics below and use the Source link to pick up a pair of this hard to find release.
Details: New Balance and Mita Sneakers come together to bring you the 247 Tokyo Rat, a limited edition shoe inspired by the city that truly never sleeps. Hairy suede, premium suede and mesh in shades of gray with hits of pale pink bring the inspiration to life. And in the insole an exclusive photo taken by Keita Suzuki depicts a view of the city through the eyes of a rat.
