I chose a picture of this backpack to establish how subtle and cool this collection that just dropped in the UK is. adidas Originals abroad is more than just Boost and NMD, although there is a EQT Boost in this collection.
I do think that the US market has shifted and people are beginning to expect more quality for their dollar and they aren’t so reliant on Jordan Brand to be considered fashionable or dope.
I was inside of Footaction yesterday and they had over 50 boxes of footwear and apparel. Most of it was adidas Originals: Primeknit Tubulars, adidas sportswear and NMDs.
There weren’t as many classics like Samba, but Footaction Memphis understands its market. It’s almost overkill to send that much adidas merch in a Nike city, but when they shifted the sneaker wall to feature adidas up front, it showed that the trend was in full effect and this collection shows why.
