Source: PUMA, BALMAIN and Cara Delevingne team up for first-ever collaboration – PUMA CATch up
Where is RiRi for Puma? The last year the superstar has made the incredible leap from influencer and endorsement person to being assigned a brand house under luxury brand LVMH. The natural progression is that Puma has taken a backseat to Rihanna’s work on her first line with Louis Vuitton. Puma has been making an amazing run with their first leg being run by RiRi, but they are now preparing to pass the baton to Cara Delevigne. The British actress has a successful show with Carnival Row and now she has her first full collection for The Cat.
This will be an interesting transition for Puma and something to watch as an actress hasn’t really been at the forefront of a launch for a sneaker brand. Singers are usually the go to for sneaker companies and that strategy has paid amazing dividends. Puma realizes that this is a risky venture so the alignment with Balmain is obviously a way to diminish the first time launch of a collection with an entertainer from the world of television and film.
Cara Delevingne has been one of PUMA’s most prolific brand ambassadors since 2016. Now the English actress and model has joined forces with BALMAIN to create her first-ever collection for PUMA.
The collaboration will take the shape of two limited-edition capsule collections, which will be available worldwide on November 21.
In the boxing-inspired campaign, Cara will star with her friend and BALMAIN’s creative director Olivier Rousteing.
