World renowned DJ, music producer and composer Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest / Lucy Pearl /Midnight Hour), along with DeJongh “Dee” Wells and Sean Williams of Obsessive Sneaker Disorder (OSD) have
partnered with the well respected charitable organization Heeling Soles 501(c)(3) to open the SOLEcial Studies CommUNITY Academy (SSCA) in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn.

“OSD’s goal with the SSCA is to plant a flag in the ground amidst the gentrification and displacement going on in Brooklyn. We want to give people (of all ages) in our community a chance to tap into this multi-billion dollar industry AND we want to give back as often as we can.” says SSCA Co-Founder Sean Williams.
