Not to start this post with a commentary on Kendrick’s Mr. Morale album, but the best track on that album was Father Time which featured Sampha. Continuing this post by stating that one of my favorite songs ever is Solange’s Don’t Touch My Hair which also features Sampha. As a matter of fact many of the songs you’ve heard possibly owe something to Sampha. Not addressing Sampha’s greatness as a singer songwriter is kind of wrong… but not really. There are a ton of people who don’t know about the artist and it’s almost necessary to give people a reference point before sharing a song. The voice is still haunting, and the music remains ethereal. Check out Spirit 2.0.
