There are two locations for the Slider Inn. Both are in two great locations in Memphis. One is in the Cooper-Young Neighborhood and the other is right off of Main Street in Downtown Memphis. We’ve been to the Downtown location twice and on both occasions we’ve been happy with our decision. With so many great restaurants in Memphis to visit, it’s the quirky designs that capture our attention. The Downtown location features a great outdoor seating area and the inside captures the garage vibe with a giant slide-up garage door. On first entrance a motorcycle sits above the bar and the entire space is made of pipe rails and fittings. A bevy of tvs air sports and the location is within walking distance of Beale Street, the National Civil Rights Museum, the Blues Museum and on Trolley Nights, the last Friday of each month, Main Street is alive.
Slider Inn-Downtown is definitely for those who enjoy a good drink, but since we don’t drink I can’t tell you about that part. I can tell you that their menu of sliders can be selected in a “flight” fashion. You can mix and match flavors like The Memphis, This Pork is a Jerk, or for the vegans there are Vegan Buffalo Chicken and No Beef, No Problem with a couple of other options on the menu. Because I forgot to shoot photos on our first visit I didn’t get to snap a pic of one of the best appetizers in the city of Memphis, The Reuben & Cuban Eggrolls: 2 hand-rolled & split eggrolls w/ dipping sauces: Reuben (corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut) and Cuban (pulled pork, smoked ham, dill pickles, dijon mustard). Prices aren’t bad at all and they aren’t crazy filling… unless you order too many which can happen. (untouched pics below don’t really capture the goodness, lol.) If you visit, drop me a line and let me know what you think.
