Using the link above you can visit the website of one of my favorite groups, The Foreign Exchange. I’ve been rocking with the band for years, but I’ve never gone to any of the shows. Interestingly enough, I’ve always gotten the dates in line and was all set, but something always popped up. Even when Zo! was in Memphis, I’d miss it. This time though the group was coming back to the “HOT” Tone (Hi-Tone) as Phonte described it… and he wasn’t lying. I was soaked by the end of the concert. The small venue was perfect for the energy the group brought with it’s cast of talented players.
Enough of all of that though. I shot some video at the beginning and intermittently throughout the night. It’s choppy because I was hoarse from singing and waving my hands. We had a damn blast!!!! Standing right next to the stage (everyone was right next to the stage because the Hi-Tone is such a small venue) made it feel like you were so intertwined with the band that it was a concert experience unlike anything I’ve been to.
Here is the video from the Tales From The Land of Milk and Honey tour stop in Memphis:
