A predecessor to Nike Free, the Nike Aptare SE features a drawstring closure system and mesh upper.

The Nike Aptare SE in this Olive colorway creates a more muted look. Nike is slowly becoming a victim of its own branding. The adidas running shoes have resorted to a more minimal approach in branding. Often the color of the shoes and logo are the same which doesn’t distract from the shape of the shoe. The Nike Swoosh is so prominent on its footwear that it creates a shouting effect for the wearer and people are becoming less attached to the logos and more attached to comfort.

The Aptare SE in olive drops on 2/1 but other versions are available on the source link. The shoe utilizes a drawstring instead of laces and is a one piece upper. I do like the molded toe box as many shoes today lack structure at the front of the shoe which allows the foot to slip back forth inside of the shoe which can generate pain in the knees. At 100.00 dollars this is a solid option from the Swoosh. If they would simply stitch that logo on instead of slapping that big symbol on there, it would really be a nice shoe.
