The choice of the Daniel Arsham New York Present is really a response to the storytelling. adidas endorsed the artist who has developed a three part story that is loosely based on his life, but in as an artistic representation of how the past inspires the present which shapes the future. Each short film has been released on YouTube in conjunction with a shoe. The Past was a deconstructed ZX series in all white. The Present here is one of the cleanest monotone colorways I’ve seen on an adidas using colorBOOST. The shoe is subtle in its elegance and the textile and leather line shoe is one of the cleanest designs from the Three Stripes in a year. This model in my opinion would have a better GR release than the Prophere. The high end materials drives the price up, but it’s definitely worth it.
