Merrell has become a favorite of mine. The company typically registers with me via their non-marketing campaigns where they have shined a light on a diverse selection of endorsers and athletes. I very rarely drop a post on the company when it comes to sneakers. That’s because on the sneaker side of things the brand tends to take a straightforward performance approach that doesn’t really resonate with sneaker culture. That’s not completely true, but for the most part you won’t see a Merrell shoe on the bigger sneaker news websites.
This shoe fits two departments for my site, sustainability and looks. The first thought is a Steelers fan somewhere is going to be wearing these. It won’t be on a trail where it’s a performance wonder. It will definitely be at backyard tailgate since there aren’t any fans in attendance really, but let me get back to the shoe. The collaboration is between sustainable honey company Honey Stinger and Merrell’s continued focus on building better footwear. Here is the description:
