Obviously my answer is clear once you realize that the link above takes you to my own Pre-Order, but just in case you’re wondering what I rank this shoe here is the article you love to hate:

First check: I hit Flight Club first. Today is 8/30/2016 and for the first time ever Flight Club isn’t loading. This means that I can’t do my full check in the traditional manner. In this case I resort to logic and contacts. I hit up my guys at local stores to find out how many pair each store is getting locally. We have over 20 locations and every location is getting the shoes. This means that this is truly a GR. That doesn’t mean that it’s bad. The beautiful thing about the Retro 1 is the price. It is 160 vs 190. This is also an OG colorway that has always traditionally sold out no matter how many and it always sells for 300-350. With this in mind and the fact that the Source link above is on my own site, I’ve giving this section a +3.

This is a new thing I’m adding to give a shoe a rating for resell. Since I do 3 checks before my decision I will weight them on a scale of 1-9. The max points on a scale = +3

Rating = +3

Second check: I then go to eBay and use the Sold Listings feature to check what early pairs are selling for. Right now the first few pairs that have sold over the last couple of days is 320, 379, 290 do the average math and take 989/3 and I get a total of 329. Without the Flight Club price I will remain at an average of 329.

Rating = +3

Third check: Peep the Twitter feed is my final measuring stick. There are a ton of posts and pre-orders on the Banned 1. I mean so many that you should be able to find a pair out there, but this also means that a lot of backdoor stuff has happened and some deals have been cut which means when you walk in the store, you probably won’t get a pair of these joints. There are a lot of Pre-Order posts, +1. There are a lot of dudes talking about the shoe including the shops and some pics in hand, +1. There are a lot of hearts and retweets, +1. This shoe has all of the criteria met.

Rating = +3

Should you buy to flip?

As always if you got the hook up and they were below retail, why not? If you are paying retail at 160 + tax, which is 170-175, then you add in Paypal fees of 3% (ebay add 10%, Amazon add 15%) and the average selling price early is 329.00 I would advise you to get your lunch money and see if you can grab a couple of extra pairs because this shoe is a +9 winner. I actually came out of retirement which is bad news for the local flip boy crews.
