I’ve been away from basketball and the travel circuit for a while. I still have a lot of connections and as a person who helped launch one of the best recruitment sites in the South in https://901prepscoop.com, every now and then I reconsider operating my scouting channel. This has entered my head more than once since watching the current G League Team Ignite that features high school prospects. The G League built the Ignite team to give NBA scouts an opportunity to see players against NBA styled competition without those players having to go the route of LaMelo Ball and RJ Hampton. Ball and Hampton took their talents to the NBDL. With the guys playing down under, it was hard to gauge their talent level. Team Ignite removes that hurdle.

When you take a moment to consider that Darius Bazley also took an alternate route to the NBA by working at New Balance as an intern for a year, then becoming a New Balance endorser after he was drafted, the air around youth sports and professional sports becomes more cloudy. Youth Sports have always been cloudy, but for different reasons. Why does a post about ASICS and their Accelerator have to do with Youth Sports?

dreamstock was founded in July 2017 and supports the youth generation (ages 14-18) by providing matching services with professional soccer clubs mainly in Brazil and Europe. dreamstock smartphone application helps young soccer players upload their profile with play video. dreamstock has developed its users throughout the world especially via social networking and their service has users in 55 countries, with more than 190,000 players and 50 partner clubs registered (as of February 2021).

In my recent book I placed a chapter on the investments taking place in the sneaker industry. I wrote that section because I wanted to create dialogue about the different opportunities in sport and sneakers. At this time when the pandemic has closed off opportunities for recruitment in every sport, a resourceful team can build a similar platform for every sport in the U.S. There are opportunities everywhere for those who are interested in more than just flipping shoes. Check out the posts below to read about my thoughts on youth sports and viewership of sports at all levels.
