While visiting Miami our family was hosted by a good friend who swears by this taco spot. As a Muslim he loves that the tacos are Halal, which is a difficult thing to find in a city that is all about Caribbean cuisine. Talkin Tacos launched during the quarantine year and has expanded to four locations around Miami. We visited the Wynwood location and by comparison to Tacos El Machine Gon, this is the better experience, but El Machine Gon and the Costra Taco is the better flavor. It’s probably the fried cheese… but not to be outdone Talkin Tacos and their birria is on par with many of the taco joints you are probably visiting. The biggest drawback is the price. Each taco hits for 15 bucks. While you only need two, that’s a steep ask if you’re treating six people. By comparison six tacos at El Machine Gon was right at 60 bucks out the truck. Talkin Tacos is tucked away in Wynwood and allows for a nice walk after the meal where you can visit the Walls or do some shopping at the various shops. The food is definitely 5 out of 5, but because of the price I have to drop the location down to 4 out of 5. Pics below.
