I’ve been saying over and over again that for sneaker companies to thrive in this new era of retail it will take a very self aware and conscious decision to reach buyers where they are. I’ve stated that blogging and video will convert buyers and that if a buyer can see content that brings the athlete closer to where they are (mentally and emotionally) that brand can garner engagement.
Now I don’t have the means to check and see how certain campaigns are doing, I just like it when I see a company listen. Are they listening to me? I don’t know, but if so cut the check.
Anyway, New Balance has generated a content based website built around the premise of writing a letter to your future self. It is exactly what will connect and the website is very well done. Check out one of the videos here:
