adidas fell off in 2018. In 2017 I noticed a trend in the design of adidas footwear that I stated would be an issue for the brand beginning with their Black Friday releases. From that point on the resale value of adidas footwear began to drop. The brand made an absurd pivot to basketball and they failed to develop any new tech that would inspire interest in the brand. BOOST had become par and adidas needed an Eagle. Nothing showed up for adidas until late in 2018, but this doesn’t mean the brand didn’t release some beautiful footwear throughout the year. They did. As a matter of fact in this top 8 adidas shows up three times and they were already represented on the list at #17. This Packer collab however takes a lot of what was good about the Three Stripes and places it into a package that delivers on premium comfort and style. The shoe just looks like movement and the black BOOST creates a stealthy quality that is dope asf.
